What MLGW CEO J.T. Young said about the possibly of leaving TVAMemphis, Light, Gas and Water likely will not be leaving the Tennessee Valley Authority any time soon.The six Shelby County suburbs want Memphis, Light Gas and Water to stay with the Tennessee Valley Authority and not switch electricity suppliers. The six suburbs have written a joint resolution that urges MLGW to stay with TVA and could be passed by the municipalities before MLGW leadership gives a recommendation next week as to whether it wants to leave TVA and purchase electricity elsewhere.
